Hi Brian, Gordon, Sam, Sorry for my late reply. I’m currently attending a show with tight schedule.
Brian, Gordon, I plugged a device in the thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) connector of a MacBook Pro and everything looks normal. Gain max is at 0dB and the recording seems fine with both garageband or audacity softwares. Sam, for now I have tested the Apple Recorder app and the Superpowered SDK on iOS. Both gave the same results: USB devices are detected as headphones/headsets and initial input gain is high (+29dB). The radar ID is 48900956. I will do the sysdiagnose as soon as I can.
