Trackback base URL will appear in sending trackback. When you send a trackback to other blog, and set some URL string in Trackback base URL,URL in posted query will be replaced with it. If you use some special url to edit plone contents, like https://foo.bar.com/blog/ , and you want no to expose this URL, please use Trackback base URL. > 2. Using it with ECTO.
