The Geode platform is not ideal for this exercise. The VSA used by coreboot doesn't support the VGA BIOS (only the minimal set of pci config space emulation). It is assumed that a native driver would be used. Some folks have discussed developing an open VGA BIOS for Geode but no development has been done yet.
