To my understanding, when using an external graphics card you don't need to 
extract or put any VGA blobs in. But you need to initialize the PCIe video. Can 
you provide us with the full config you are using, please? Or did you try my 
config which I linked in my initial answer? (There, it should be already 
enabled as far as I remember)

Indeed, there seem to be different versions of the board then. I have the 
retail version, and mine has the connectors soldered. Can someone update the 
wiki, please?
