According to AMD[1] and ASUS[2] docs :
DDR3 1600 can only be supported with AMD Opteron™ 6300/6200 series processor
so, I should be fine. I didn't knew exactly what king of RAM to chose (CL, Voltage, Rank, etc.) in order to have them running in quad channel, because those recommended by ASUS here [3] are ether very expensive or unavailable. But if you say that if I choose one of these [4] [5] it will work in quad channel, then it's ok. Thanks a lot! BogDan.
