So actually no opto-isolation as the advertising claims?
I think there was some galvanic isolation between the USB-serial chip and the microcontroller that connects to the rest of the circuitry. Since I took that device apart maybe 2 years ago, I don't remember the details and I don't have it any more, so I can't just re-check.
