Hi Sam,

The etcd-operator is not abandoned, it has just been taking a bit of a back
burner as the team has been working to pass on the insights learned during
development into the Operator SDK.

Instead of a fork, would you (and/or others) be interested in becoming a
maintainer? I am happy to start that discussion.

Aside from that, I would love to hear thoughts on where the Operator best
fits, in its current location or in the new org.
