We invite you to participate in the ECIR 2024 Workshop on Open Web Search. Since much of the web search technology stack is closed source, and many even basic pieces of technology for building a scalable web search engine are missing, the WOWS workshop aims to promote, discuss, and develop an open web search ecosystem.
The workshop encourages submissions of scientific papers and implementations of retrieval components. For the practical part of submitting (parts of) retrieval pipelines, we offer mentoring of (early-stage) participants (e.g., bachelor/master students).
