Description: Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications. Responsibilities: The Sr. Storage Engineer will act as a technical member of the Global eLab Services team in DTS, with specific responsibility and focus on storage product and pattern certification, solution testing and development, and application integration. The duties will include a combination of product and solution testing, technical assessments, deployment implementation recommendations, regression testing, technical problem resolution, competitive analysis using the DTS Lab facility, project planning, standards validation/development, and presentation to peers / management. The key focus areas for this role include: - Storage Product / Pattern Certification - Execution of Storage Engineering POC and certification test requirements. Provide feedback on standards, architecture designs and best practices. Ensure all internal audit compliance. Provide all necessary build/operate documentation - Storage Product Maintenance - Develop and deliver upon a strategy for maintenance of existing storage products and patterns. Drive maintenance efficiencies into maintenance process - Assist on Major Storage Initiatives - Provide technical assistance to the Storage Engineering, Build and Operate teams on all major infrastructure projects - SME Technical Support - Provide third level and P1 technical support for all storage and platform issues Skills: - Disk - expert knowledge of EMC and HDS hardware & software, knowledge of HBA products, management tools, reporting & monitoring methodology's - Fabric - expert knowledge of Brocade and Cisco hardware & software, an solid understanding of fabric protocols - principally FC & FCoE - Scripting - ability to design and subsequently script tools for use within the DTS organization - Technical Operating System - intermediate knowledge of the following OS platforms: AIX, Solaris, Windows, VMware & Linux - Strong analytical skills, especially the ability to understand strategic direction to take a product design and create a repeatable build, which fits operational best practice Desired skills/experience: - Technical writing experience - Performance analysis within complex environments - Project Management experience Thanks & regards, Liju George Thomas Phone: 734-591-3562X1171 Fax : 734-418-2603 <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] I [email protected] <http://www.aim-cc.com/> www.aim-cc.com clip_image001 AS YOU GROW HELP OTHERS GROW Note: We respect your Online Privacy.
