A Minneapolis based company is looking to add a contract (3+ month) a Senior Telecommunications Engineer. The focus of the role will be enterprise support and rollout for Skype for Business, as well as designing, deploying, and supporting Audiocodes SBC’s and branch site survivability gateways. You will also likely have opportunity to support Avaya enterprise as well. What Will You Do? • Handle the administration for voice systems and services. • Understand user needs and develop and recommend telecommunication solutions. • Create, develop and test communications software programs. • Understand the how, why, when, and why not of telephony service delivery. • Analyze, create and deploy project plans for new telecom technologies and systems. • Ensure maintenance of telephony related hardware, software, and infrastructure • Research, negotiate and provide inputs for cost benefit analysis on telephony projects. • Prepare detailed specifications flowcharts and end to end Visio designs for implementation of telephony solutions • Monitor and respond to facility hardware, software, and infrastructure problems. • Provide training and support for internal customers of telecom equipment.
