Ketan Talaulikar has entered the following ballot position for charter-ietf-cose-04-00: Block
When responding, please keep the subject line intact and reply to all email addresses included in the To and CC lines. (Feel free to cut this introductory paragraph, however.) The document, along with other ballot positions, can be found here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-ietf-cose/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BLOCK: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is not related to the new charter text but the old one. There are two blobs: 1) Potential candidates would include those algorithms that have been evaluated by the CFRG and algorithms which have gone through a public review and evaluation process such as was done for the NIST SHA-3 algorithms. 2) The COSE WG will not innovate in terms of cryptography. The specification of algorithms in COSE is limited to those in RFCs, active CFRG or IETF WG documents, or algorithms which have been positively reviewed by the CFRG. I think (2) is good and already covers what (1) intends? If so, please consider removing the redudnant blob at (1). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMENT: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I also support the blocking point raised by Med. _______________________________________________ COSE mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
