I had the same issue as Trevor and posted about it in Adobe's ColdFusion
forums (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5344129), although in my case it
was not an issue to add Cosign protection to the top level and so I am
currently using that as a workaround.

Definitely interested to know if anyone on the list has any suggestions. I
created a test ASP page in a protected directory that can access the
remote_user variable, so I am guessing that Cosign is working but not
communicating with ColdFusion.
