Dear Cosign Discussion List Members:

I am trying to setup CosignModule 3.1.1 on a 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 server with
IIS 7.5 and ColdFusion 10.

When I set protection to "on" in the applicationHost.config file or in a
web.config file the root (www.example.edu) of the site, I am able to get the
user id from the REMOTE_USER value.

If I set protection to "off" in the applicationHost.config file and set
protection to "on" in a web.config file in a subfolder (www.example.edu/login/)
of the site, the REMOTE_USER value is empty, and I can't get the user id. All
of the authentication appears to go through, but when the user is redirected
back to my site, the REMOTE_USER value is empty.

This site hosts a Web application that keeps me from setting protection on the
root of the site. I need to only set protection on a few folders in the site.

Does anyone know how to fix this or encountered an issue with the REMOTE_USER
value being empty when setting protection only on a subfolder?

Sincerely,
