Did he marry in Canada or the US? which possibly explains his bride’s Dublin origins. The Errigal Trough RC registers commence 1835 and contain Todd baptisms https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0309 Looking at the Valuation Revision Books on the PRONI, Belfast website https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/information-and-services/search-archives-online/valuation-revision-books I note that Todds were in possession of a small holding in Fymore Todd until at least 1929. Johns place of birth is listed as Ireland in US census records, and I have some information that Margaret may have been from the Dublin area, but that is unsubstantiated.
