I wonder if this could be the townland of Drumadds, near Coagh? Never heard of a Lord Ferguson, or his castle in East Tyrone. Maybe it's an exaggerated version, where the reality might have been a wealthy farmer with a larger house than usual. Lots of Fergusons in that area of NE Tyrone. Evelyn

Tyrone. The most recent letter repeats that Bettie Ferguson was the daughter of Lord Ferguson/Fergusson, that she lived in a castle, and that she eloped with the groomsman James Caulfield and that would be about 1785. Former letters said it was Samuel Caulfield. Anyway, this letter says that the castle was in the town of Dumas in Co. Tyrone.Does anyone have knowledge of this town and its castle?Thank youPeggy_______________________________________________ CoTyroneList Mailing List Mailing List Email Address: [email protected] Change Your Preferences: http://cotyroneireland.com/mailman/listinfo/cotyronelist_cotyroneireland.com Mailing List Archive: https://goo.gl/mQCKrY
