Hi Julia, An easy one! The "ancestral sites" which you are looking for are called Gortnagarn and Cavanakeeran. Gabriel Cathcart lived on Plot 35 Gornagarn and had a large farm in Cavanakeeran.

It is online here and comes with both original maps and modern overlays so you can easily find the location for yourself: https://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/ These records were updated regularly up until circa 1930 so you can see what happened to every plot of land and every house. Sadly, your Cathcarts ceased to hold this land when Gabriel died. He is scored out in 1870 so presumably died some time before that and is replaced by Patrick McAnally. Patrick might have married into the Cathcarts, though I doubt it, he probably bought the farm. Email me if you need any further help.
