Where was the name "Margt" notated? On the passenger list?
If the name was on the passenger list, presumably, it was provided by Conway
and he would have known his mother's name. The name on the Death cert was
provided by someone other than Conway who might have gotten it wrong.
In either case, there is always the possibility that the shipping clerk or the
doctor got it wrong.
As the clerk and the doctor were paid to record info correctly, I'd go with the
name on the passenger list until I got the name from other records.
