There were censuses taken 1821 to 1891 but most have been destroyed (some were
pulped for spare paper and others were lost in the 1922 fire in Dublin). Some
pre 1901 fragments do exist, in Tyrone's case mostly compiled from extracts
taken from the 1841 and 1851 censuses for Old Age Pension age proof purposes.
They can be found on the National Archives site. Most of the 1831 census for Co
Derry also survived, apparently because it was not in the Public Record Office
in 1922 at the time of the fire. But sadly the 1831 Tyrone census did not
survive.
