Can couchbase be used as embedded database for a Windows desktop application?
We have desktop application and we are looking for a new database options. We have been trying out couchbase for our purpose we few have issue but all in all looks good. But I want to know whether couchbase can be used an emmbedded database to the desktop application? How to do it? I have one more question: We want to handle multiple remote user scenario for that reason is it possible to use couchbase in such way that there is one local copy of database in the client side and then a master copy in the remote server and the local copy and remote server just automatically keep syncing? We have tried by installing couchbase on local system of each client and then installing couchbase on remote system and then made remote system as master replica and local mongodb instance as slave replica. I am not sure whether this is recommended way to use since it would be an overhead I suppose? and I assume then the cost will also increase if we go for enterprise eidtion for which we would have to pay for each installation? Do you guys please suggest me on all these issues? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Couchbase" group.
