Hi, Here is a little patch to make things faster on http interace on openbsd, freebsd and other free bsd especially in testing suite. (results are 5x-7x faster). It seem that on bsd, socket.recv wait for data until the server close the connection, wich explain why you get slow results. If you set http header to connection:close it improve a lot the speed.
