AD 54-26-02 addresses the wear of cables at the control quadrant.  It
states that any one of four FAA approved modifications listed would
satisfy the AD.  On this forum it was stated that the only approved
modification was the installation of the new quadrant with a part number
of 415-52137 which is the last method (of the four)  listed in the AD.
I have removed my column and the quadrant was manufactured by
"Met-Co-Aire" which is the manufacturer listed in the AD for the first
approved method.
My question is:  Is there any other directives that I do not have that
eliminates all of the other three methods except the last?  Or is the
fourth method the only one currently available so therefore becomes by
default the only approved method?  .
