Hi list,
I've been off the list for a while and am happy to be back. On the topic of turning a pilot/owner into a licensed A/P-- that's what I do- is make A/Ps. During the day I teach at an A/P school, during the night (??) I am a designated mechanic examiner and of course an ex- C owner-- soon to be new owner of a project G model. If you need to know any specifics about the process let me know and I'll try to be as helpful as possible. In general, someone qualifiying for A/P without schooling must have 18 months of experience for each rating he/she seeks, or 36 months for both A & P. This must be well documented, showing exposure and experience in each of the General, Airframe and Powerplant subject areas. The documentation is taken to your local FSDO and they will determine if you qualify for testing- Then it's tons of studying- and I can tell you what books to buy, and if you are anywhere near Central California I can assist you in preparation either by phone or in person. jan zanutto A/P, I.A. ex-N87204 --------------------------------- to unsubscribe send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
