----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- I tend to agree with the incorrect hour meter readings. My 415C didn't get a Hobbs until the 60's and it shows 420 hours since then. I have put almost 100 on it in the past 3 months. It never had a recording tach since new. I located one at Oshkosh out of a Tomahawk and maintenance will be run from that.
Total time is guessed at around 830, but it has had a major and a top in it's life. Previous owner flew 2 hours in 8 years. Time seems to be the biggest factor in overhaul times. The more it flies, the less maintenance it needs. (except oil) Luckily, my cylinders look OK inside with a bore scope. I also agree the 1800 hour thing is a farse. I don't think any Continental will make it that long. Good luck. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
