Interesting! There is an article in the June 1999 edition of Coupe Capers
about an old original Ercoupe warbird owned by Stephen Hardin of Terrell
TX
(N37143). There is a picture of it with it's original paint scheme on the
www.ercoupe.com page under the planes section. They are listed by N
number. It's intent was to be an Aerial target for the Army Air Corps in
1941. (The U.S. Air Force didn't come into existence until September of
1947).

Skyport Services has a pretty good selection of manuals for an Ercoupe.
You can reach them at 1-800-624-5312 to request a free catalog or talk to
them about what manuals they have available. Good luck on your search!

I am about to purchase an Ercoupe and am looking for any books and tech
manuals such as those listed on the "Ercoupe FAQ" sections of the EOC
home page.

Also am particuliarly interested in what branch of the military the
Ercoupe may have flown and the paint scheme used

Many thanks
