Pete Ercoupes originally came with a nose gear where the wheel was supported on one side only. Some are still original, and some have the nose wheel supported on both sides, thus double fork. The double fork is an improvement but hundreds of single support nose gears are flying. The Ercoupe is a fun, rugged little plane. Just check closely for centre wing spar corrosion.
