I have never seen corrosion like this before, the top cap was completely rotted through, in fact it looked just like a piece of rotten wood. The owner didn't know it was like that and you should have seen his face when I pointed it out to him. I haven't seen the left wing but I wouldn't be surprised if it looks the same, and I don't know the condition of the center wing except that I didn't see anything alarming on the Rt side. I did notice more corrosion on the landing gear but that was all that I could see. The engine looks really good and he has all the paper work on the rebuild. He asked me to make him an offer, I declined to make one at that time, I want to get more info. I was thinking that $5,000 - $6,000 would be fair. Feel free to comment.
