I have an Ercoupe model kit. It is made by Jack Stafford Models of California. It is actually an Alon, but says it can easily be changed to Ercoupe form. The plane is a scale R/C all balsa sheet, and has a 63 inch span with 600 sq. inches. I never got around to starting on this kit even though I've had it for about 15 years. It is quite complex and complete with bubble canopy, moulded nose cowl, spinner, steerable nose gear, engine mount for 35-60 engine, fuel tank, and all push rod connectors and hinges, etc. They say it's a very docile flyer and won't spin, just like the real thing. This is a high quality kit with balsa hardwood plywood, rubber tire wheels, spring landing gear, and large plans (full size) for wings, etc. Wing ribs and many other pieces are die cut. This is not a cheap model, but I think it would give you loads of fun. The deal is I need to get $200.00 US plus shipping. The box is 42.5 inches long and weighs about 5 pounds, I would guess. The box is quite strong for shipping, but I could double wrap it with another layer of cardboard and I'm sure it would be fine. If any of you are interested, let me know.
