My problem is -- I have Ercoupe serial #629 which I just purchased 3 months ago -- the Goodyear brakes failed and I decided to convert to Cleveland. I ordered them thru Lee at Skyport and got the wrong ones. Called Lee (who's been a great help) and found out someone had changed the center spar and landing gear and used one from a Ercoupe with serial number 813 or above. He send me that set of brakes with an STC. The mechanic says the Cleveland brakes I have have an STC for #813 and above and my plane is #629 therefore he needs a 337 and field approval -- problem is I don't have any 337 showing this work being done nor any log entries -- only have logs back to 1978. Did get 337 record from FAA -- still no record of this work. What I need is ---- does anyone have an Ercoupe with serial number under 812 with the newer gear on and do you have a 337 that I could get a copy of to show the locals that it has been done.
