David;  One additional thing. If you should find that you do have a static

line, you may find that your airspeed case is leaking which will cause the

airspeed and VSI to change readings when the cabin windows are open. A low

pressure is created in the cabin when the windows are open, so if you have
a 
leak in the static lines, the readings will change.
I found on our Coupe that the original airspeed worked just fine. However,

the seal between the glass and the snap ring that held it in place was non

existent. The glass actually rattled in its case. The instrument shop that

checked it said it worked fine but just needed to be sealed. A thin film
of 
clear silicone sealer did the trick.
