I understand how the stop ring fitted to each yoke shaft works against 
the back of the instrument panel to limit elevator up-travel.  However, 
I can't see what stops the mast bumping into either the emergency brake 
upper pulley or the firewall in forward travel.  None of the assembly 
drawings or parts explosions that I referenced show anything.  I would 
assume there would be a sleeve on the shaft outside of the panel or that 
a bumper block would be fitted on the firewall.  However, both are 
pretty micky-mouse and I know FW didn't think like that.  So chums, 
what's the answer?
