HI everyone. I just had the joy to solve Header Tank leaks myself. Actually my mechanics did the work. A leak was discovered directly where the fitting is riveted to the tank. I believe by looking on how the construction is done in that area that this is the most vulnerable spot for leaks. All fuel lines and the fuel valve are sealed by conical fittings, means if everything is tight Leaks can not develop. The fix was to drill out the rivets , prep the area outside plus inside of the tank and re-rivet with sealer . The work can be done with the tank in place.
