Paul, we all should have been checked out in the Coupe, which should also
count as the hour of dual
time with instructor. Unfortunately, it's a real bitch trying to find one
with any experience in a
Coupe. I had to learn to fly mine by the book. I read everything I could
find about it. Specifically
I digested all the stuff about cross wind landings. By the time I took
off,
I felt fairly comfortable
that I could do it. My first landing was a little rough, as I came in a
little slow, but it wasn't
bad. You have the advantage of talking to real life humans, and shouldn't
have that problem. Later, I
took the instructor up and taught him to fly the Coupe, and he then signed
me off. Seems like a real
round about way of doing it, but it was the best I could figure out.
