Well, nose wheel went flat yesterday on landing. No drama. But now I'm having trouble sourcing a replacement inner tube. The Ercoupe nose wheel is a 5.00x4", which is unusual enough (we paid a fortune for the tire last year), but also needs a TR-20 valve stem. We have the single-fork nose gear. Aircraft Spruce says "not available," as does Dresser Tire & Rubber - they say they haven't sold it for years, but do sell the 5.00x4" tube with the TR-67 valve stem to customers for Ercoupe application. Can we use the TR-67 valve stem on the single-fork wheel (we have wheel pants)? What's the difference between the TR-20 and TR-67 valve stem, anyway? If in fact the last 5.00x4 inner tube w/TR-20 valve stem on the planet has disappeared, what are other 'Coupers with single-fork nose gear doing for replacement inner tubes? Prefer reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - I'm not sure I'll be able to find my way back to this site again! Thanks SGBrisbin N87026 1945 415C Ser.
