Yes, you can. Get someone skilled in the art to demonstrate. This is a
potentially dangerous (i.e., deadly) procedure, so learn it from an
expert.

The solenoid connects the battery to the ship's electrical system. It
controls everything except the master switch. (Electric clocks are the
exception.)

You do not need the electrical system to hand prop the engine. On the
other
hand, the electric starter requires the solenoid to be working.

The pull does what the starter solenoid would do. It first engages the
starter drive and then activates the starter motor.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Generators do not put out much at idle,
but
the battery should carry the system while you're idling. The exception
here
is if you idle around for 20 minutes or so with the landing light on.
That
will overtax the system. Sounds like you are running with the generator
and
no battery, as would be the case if the solenoid quit. I would not use a
radio under these circumstances. The lack of voltage stability may ruin
the
radio. For that matter, I would not use the electrical system at all if
the
battery is not in the circuit.

Good luck with your new 'Coupe
