FLUSHING THE HEADER TANK I think you have to fill the tank, then turn the airplane upside down and open the cap! On the serious side, I remember many, many moons ago a friend of mine had a Chrysler that was only a couple of years old. ALMOST every time he drove anywhere the car engine would die. Mechanics tried everything. Electrical, fuel lines blown out, all to no avail. In desperation, a mechanic removed the gas tank, turned it upside down and a small rubber ball fell out. Apparently some kid put it in the gas tank for (fun?)! No more problem. The moral of the story is that blowing out the line does not always resolve the problem. Something may be in that tank that will work its way back to cover return the hole. I have drained all the tanks, opened the lines and tested for airflow(blowing),and don't seem to have any restrictions. The original problem was an overflowing header tank. One couper mentioned that when I was at this stage, it would be a good time to "flush out the header tank". How do I do this, and what sort of flush material do I use? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated. > > Steve Vaurio > N87337, 1946 415-C, SN #510 > Lakeville MN > > > _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ==^================================================================ EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bz8Sid.bAhN69 Or send an email To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This email was sent to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
