Patrick; I have not disassembled a Forney nose strut. However, the Forney service manual indicates that once you remove the two screws holding the top piece in position, you must pull the entire unit up to expose two snap rings. You remove the two snap rings, and then push the entire assembly out the bottom. I believe, from my limited experience disassembling Coupe nose struts, that you will have to remove the bottom bushing (held in place with four tiny screws) in order to push everything out the bottom. I remember having difficulty with other Coupe nose struts, and having to actually drive the assembly out the bottom of the outer cylinder using a long wooden dowel and a two pound hammer! I would recommend that you call John Wright Sr. (after 9 PM central time) and ask his opinion. He is the technical advisor for EOC members, and has over 25 years experience working on Coupes. his number is 217-546-0585 Lynn Nelsen N86997 52FL ==^================================================================ EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bz8Sid.bAhN69 Or send an email To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This email was sent to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
