No, no no. If the viscosity of the oil exceeds the regulators capacity then the pressure will be high. To say it simple oil can be that thick that the oil pressure regulator is full open and pressure still builds up . The fact that after warm up, the oil pressure was within limits speaks for just that, Cold temps, fresh oil and a good oil pump. That makes high pressure.
