Darn. Sent too early. Here the final version.

Hi. all.
I am subscribed to Coupers-Tech only, so please if someone who is on
both list can forward this message...

Nick Striglia was asking the question on the possibility to go back to a
flat windshield after a bubble windshield
has been installed.

I too think the flat windshield looks better on a Coupe. The lines are
matching more the airframe.
That's why we reinstalled the flat windshield on my brothers Coupe .
No big deal since you can buy the window frame from Univair for a mere
120 Dollars and the windshield is just around a 120 bucks too.
The window frame is screwed onto the frame B and riveted under he window
sill. 3 rivets on each side, if I remember right.
Easy work every mechanic can do.

The pros and cons I collected so far (looks preferences excluded, but my
conclusions added).
Bubble:
Pro - the bubble is easier to remove and to put back. (How often do you
do that a year?)
Pro - more room on top of the panel. (fits a Garmin nicely)
Pro - people claim the passenger area room to be less turbulent in a
bubble when flying with open side windows.
Contra - the bubble is more expensive (twice as much as a Flat
windshield)
Contra - slows the aircraft a bit. Air meets at a steeper angle and is
being pushed further away from Aircraft, thus producing more drag.

Flat:
Pro - Faster . The air meets at a lesser angle on a flat windshield,
thus needing less force to push the air away thus producing less drag
than the bubble.
Pro - Cheaper and easier to find replacement (you can get a flat piece
of plexiglas anywhere in the world)
Contra - less room on top of panel

If anyone knows another reason to prefer either window or if I again
insulted any of you personally please vent to
