Interesting comment Larry, My Coupe has 1735 hrs on it and is still running strong. The reason I think it has lasted so long it that it has regularly been flown 40 to 50 hrs a year for the last 20 yrs. Before then I'm not sure how much it was run per year. ( It did have one top overhaul in this time) The engines that have problems are the ones that very seldom fly and with an owner that will go out all winter long and start them for a few minutes and shut them down. I have seen them hit TBO several times but you have got to keep them running. The more they fly the longer they will go.
