Fred Weick said there should not be a snubber cable at all. He said it
kept
the nose wheel up in the propeller slipstream and reduced efficiency. If
you put the fairing on it will not work if the snubber cable is installed.

I bought a new fairing from Univair a few years ago.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] Nose gear

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----

I have a single fork nose gear. It has a safty cable on it that does not
allow the gear to extend fully. First of all does it need to have one at
all and second of all if so should it not extend fully? I have looked in
my
S.B. and ad's and can find nothing on it.

Also I am looking for a nut cracker fairing. If anyone has one for sale
or
knows where I could get one it would be appriciated.

Thanks again for all your help
Tim from Indy
