I always wondered what the purpose of the snubber cable was.
I recall some people saying the extended Nose would touch ground to early
while landing..

I guess I'll have to find out myself . Just recently acquired an original
Nut Cracker fairing.
Univair sells them at around $80 for the older scissors only. If you have
aluminum casting scissors,
you need some luck to get a hold on a used fairing. (or have someone
modify the fairing Univair sells
you).

Next annual it will be put on and then I'll see the big difference.
