dont forget..you MUST have a sign off by,,,Guess who??...that;s right, the
FAA, and here in oregon it is almost impossible to get a one time field
approval anymore...Also isn't there a stainless steel plate involved in
there somewhere?..or is that for the 0200?..getting old cant
remember..jolly in aurora, or.

To convert to a 85 hp you will need not too much. 
1 the kit  with new jets for the carburetor 
2. a new engine placard from Continental plus paperwork 
3.  rework the prop to a smaller one down to 71 inch from 73 
4. mark your tach with the new limits 
5. Mark your POH for the new engine 

(I hope I did not forget something) 
  


Benefits: Engine will run faster, use more Gas and the cruise performance
is slightly better - 4-5 more MPH. 
I don't think one would climb better, since the 85 horses are developed at
over 2500 RPM which I never saw on climb out in my coupe.
