advice in this forum.]----

Learned this week that the C75F in my 415 CD is finished ... looking at
the
crankshaft I'm surprised it had run so long so well.

Decision time. My engine overhauler , whose expertise and skills I trust ,
advises that I'd be looking at @ 20K Canadian to rebuild as 0-200/85 able
to
burn 100LL as no 87 left here.

The airframe has @ 1300 hours total , rag wings done 18 years ago in great
shape , new Cleveland's, and gear lift done. Instruments are standard ,
with
King TX but I flew it with handheld although there's on old Genave 200 in
it.

I figure I'll never see the value of an engine job , but the rest of the
aircraft is reasonable , so am looking for advice on establishing prices
for
parting out ...

Can anyone enlighten me, especially the Canadians in the group? I can't
justify the overhaul costs and must move the airframe very soon.
Thanks/Jim
