Jeff Orear wrote to say he saw (and sat in) an Ercoupe taildragger based in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The guy that owns it had repositioned the landing gear forward (like the one I photographed), and had installed a 160hp engine! Wonder what sort of counter weight he had to use?
