Eh?

Given that 'most' trainers are 150/152 or 172, why not? Their
spin characteristics are benign (to a fault). Perfectly
acceptable when loaded in 'utility' category.

You aren't allowed to spin many/most PA28s, any AA1s, and
spinning a Traumahawk is a matter of some controversy.

I've heard some argue that age is a factor, but in truth
a properly executed spin doesn't strain things very much at
all. If you f*** up a deep stall recovery, the G-load is
the same as if you mess up a spin recovery (in fact, they're
the same thing.

Maybe the 2nd biggest reason for spin training is to convince
people that a spin is not accompanied by a high pitched whine
and smoke coming out of the tail, like in the movies. It's just
no big thing if you're ready for it.

Sorta sucks at 500' on final, though :-)
