Hello, my name is Joe, I live on Long Island, NY and may be acquiring an ercoupe from a friend who has moved from the area. Problem is that he moved 10 years ago, left the plane and it has sat unattended, outside these past years and is a wreck. Do any of you ercoupers have an idea(ball park figure)if it is worth the time and trouble to bring to flyable condition. Most likely needs everything but the plane is solid and straight but glass is broken, cockpit open to weather, basically sat idle for ten years. Love the plane but want to know what a complete refit may cost, best case, worst case scenario. HELP! E-mail when able, until then, happy landings!
