Candy,
Talked to quite a few of the people with real shiny planes at various
antiquer fly-ins before I started polishing and the census was for good
old
"Mothers" that you get from NAPA auto stores. Didn't take too long once I
got started - about half to two thirds of a day and a six pack if you do
it
all at once. All by hand followed with one of the new easy rub-on/rub/off
silicone waxes. I know you probably won't put too much credence in this
due to the condition of the plane when you got it, but when I took it up
to Yelm, it had been almost six months since the last polish. Besides,
when
you finish you can be the next Karate Kid - you know right hand rub
on/left
hand rub off and then kick the dickens out of someone!

Did you get the rest of the paint off the bottom of the wings? And will
you be in Albany this Sunday? I still have a partial can of the Jasco
paint remover I can bring up if you're going to be there (and if I'm well
enough to go).
