Howdy, Dennis.
  When I talked to Communications Specialists in December, 1997,
they had "about fifty in the warehouse."  Out of 1700 produced.
I believe the $495 price is still good, but you may want to 
compare Sporties.  CSI decided that others could afford the R&d
needed to improve radios better than they could, and had better ROI

  Where you at?  I have been interested in the Fisher line since his
FP-101 came out in the early `80's.  There are a couple 101's at my 
local UL flight strip.
