Thanks for the picture of the Ercoupe on floats, over Manhattan.
Since my
first flying was on floats (65hp Aeronca Champion), the photo brought back
some great memories and got my Adrenalin flowing. The Coupe sure looks
good
on floats. My understanding is it was never licensed for floats because it
was no longer spin proof. That was because in order to take it off the
water the elevator travel had to be changed in order to get the nose high
