Hi All: My name is Rob Talbot-Jones and I am the proud owner of a 1946 415-D, Serial # 3665 Coupe. Having recently returned to active flying after many years of "wishing", I bought a super example of ERCO engineering exactly 30 years to the day since I first checked out a coupe in California. I know I'm preaching to the choir when I say this, but they are such a blast to fly and they do have a personality of their own that when the time came to go avaiting again, it was the only one to enter the equation. N3040H is pretty stock and from what I can tell all AD's have been done. QUESTIONS: As it is in the basic polished finish I want to add some military markings to it and paint the rudders red, white and blue. Do Coupes rudders have to be rebalanced after painting as some do? Does anybody have a good (and cheap) source for the markings, either decals or masks, they could pass along? Also, where can one buy the "rams horn" style of control yoke? I look forward to being a part of this group and hope I will be able to contribute useful input in the years to come. Best regards, Rob
